Bristol Boys in September
31 July 2007

Depending on your viewpoint, Brandon David's 2005 Bristol Boys is either a sub-Darren Aronofsky semi-experimental crime drama or a bold and well acted indie take on a true story.

Little Man (Thomas Guiry) has big dreams. He wants to get into real estate, make descent money and drive a nice car. He’s a guy with a natural gift for sales, and he’s smart to boot. He’s also impatient, so instead of working his way to the top he takes the riskier route of becoming a pot dealer in his hometown of Bristol, Conneticut. This is no ordinary weed he's pushing though. This is super powerful stuff, the likes of which people in Bristol will pay a lot of money for.

Little Man’s success brings heat from the cops who bust down his door, but the real drama begins when he finds out he was ratted on my one of his own friends. With a supporting cast of Will Janowitz, Max Cassella (both The Sopranos), Dean Winters (Oz), Adrian Martinez (The Interpreter) and Tammy Trull (Harsh Times), Bristol Boys is, we are told, a thrill ride of ambition, suspicion, manipulation and drug-addiction.

Bristol Boys has been announced for a UK DVD release by Metrodome on 3rd September 2007 at the RRP of £12.99. Picture and sound details and extra features, if any, have yet to be confirmed.
