Princess from Tartan in January
25th September 2007

Following the death of his porn star sister Christina from drug abuse, 32-year-old August returns home from years of missionary work abroad to take charge of Chrstina's five-year-old daughter Mia. Burdened by sorrow and guilt, he decides to avenge Christina’s death with a crusade to clear his sister's name of pornographic connotations, a mission that escalates into a brutality and violence as August attempts desperately to protect Mia, the only thing he now holds dear.

Danish director and comic book creator Anders Morgenthaler's first feature is a challenging and controversial work that is also compelling and visionary, a blend of animation and low band digital live action sequences whose heady brew of sex, violence and religion creates an angry but darkly energetic tale, which takes its inspiration from Japanese anime to Taxi Driver.

Due for a UK cinema release on 19th October, Princess has been announced for a 7th January 2008 UK DVD released by Tartan at the RRP of £19.99. Picture, soundtrack and extras details will be confirmed nearer to the release date.
