That Mitchell and Webb Look in October

9 October 2007

One of the more acclaimed TV comedy double acts in recent years - the Observer went as far as describing them as "Britain's funniest men" - David Mitchell and Robert Webb 's success in Peep Show was preceded by That Mitchell and Webb Look, a BAFTA award winning sketch show that first introduced the pair to the UK viewing public and achieved a regular audience of 3 million viewers per show. The more memorable characters and sketched include: Numberwang, a manic but meaningless number-based game show; The Adventures of Sir Digby Chicken Caesar, the greatest campaigner for truth and justice since Pete Doherty; The Anxious Nazis, who begin to wonder if the 'death-head' insignia on their caps might be sending out the wrong signals; the tragically mismatched superhero partnership of BMX Bandit and Angel Summoner; plus Snooker Commentators, Big Talk, Chip and Pin and more...

To coincide with their big screen debut in Magicians and with the news that a second series of That Mitchell and Webb Look is on the way for 2008, Contender Home Entertainment have announced the UK DVD release of Series 1 for 29th October 2007 at the RRP of 19.99. Containing all 7 episodes of the series, the DVD will also contain the following special features:

  • Unseen sketches;
  • 2 outtakes;
  • A 32 minute 'making of' documentary.
