Green Wing Collector's Edition in October

If you haven't heard of the Channel 4 hospital comedy series Green Wing then welcome back from your Mars trip - at its popularity height I couldn't go anywhere without hearing someone going on about it. As it happens, it is rather funny, due in no small part to a priceless cast that includes Tamsin Greig (Black Books, The Archers, Love Soup), Julian Rhind-Tutt (The Madness of King George, Notting Hill), Mark Heap (Brass Eye, Spaced, Big Train, Happiness), Stephen Mangan (I'm Alan Partridge, Adrian Mole –- The Cappuccino Years), Pippa Haywood (The Brittas Empire, Dalziel and Pascoe), Sarah Alexander (Coupling, Smack the Pony), Karl Theobald (Chef), Michelle Gomez (Wedding Belles, The Book Group) and Sally Phillips (Smack The Pony).

Now 4DVD have announced what looks to be the definitive Green Wing DVD release in the shape of The Green Wing Collector's Edition, an 8 disc set that will contain series 1 and 2 of the show and a special bonus disc of previously unseen material, including the following:

  • A specially filmed documentary Green Wing –- The Phenomenon;
  • Previously unseen deleted scenes;
  • Music tracks;
  • A 32-page Green Wing booklet.

The set will be released in the UK by 4DVD on 16th October 2007 at the RRP of £59.99.
